Conveying Conveyors – Guide to Food Process Logistics and Conveying Equipment

Conveying conveyors are logistics equipment that reliably move raw materials and products between processing lines and, when needed, also perform cooling and sorting. Depending on the application, they are divided into belt, mesh, cooling conveyors, and other types.

Role of conveyors

Conveyors connect processes without interruption, automating production flow and reducing the burden of worker movement and transport. In actual production sites, conveying speed is set according to the slowest bottleneck process. If the speed of even one section is mismatched, raw materials can pile up or run short, reducing overall line efficiency.

Food-grade conveyors use corrosion-resistant stainless steel that withstands water, salt, and oil. Hygienic design, which reduces gaps where foreign matter can lodge and makes disassembly and cleaning easy, is a basic requirement.

Belt conveyors are multipurpose equipment that handle both conveying and sorting on a flat belt. Mesh conveyors use a stainless steel mesh belt, allowing air to pass from above and below, making them suitable for cooling or drying sections where cold or hot air surrounds the food, or for washing sections that require drainage. Cooling conveyors use the conveying time itself as cooling time, protecting quality without a separate cooling space.

Belt materials are selected by purpose, including stainless steel mesh, food-grade modular plastic, and heat- or oil-resistant belts, and low-noise, low-vibration movement complements logistics in compact factory spaces.

Customization

Width, length, speed, and slope can be adjusted to match raw material characteristics and line layout, and additional functions such as cooling and sorting can be combined.

Jepid conveying equipment includes multipurpose belt conveyors, highly ventilated mesh conveyors, cooling conveyors, and low-noise electric carts.
